DOURO

The demarcated region of Douro, was recognized during the reign of King D. José I in 1756. The climate of harsh winters and hot summers, combined with Schist Soil provide unique Terroir for the production of quality wines.

Produced from native grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, these provide a unique complexity and richness, they print a single characteristic profile of unique of Douro.

Borrelho Tawny is a classic Port. Elegant wine, with aromas of dried fruit and wood, in the mouth is smooth, fruity, balanced. Versatile port, it goes well with the traditional desserts and chilled is an excellent aperitif.

Borrelho White Port wine is a classic white, straw-yellow color and a fresh aroma but intense, with attractive floral and fruit nuances. Soft and balanced in the mouth, the wine is rich and full, with the complexity and nobility which come from a careful aging in wood. Served chilled, is the ideal aperitif.
